Yesterday I posted a video of Whoopi Goldberg relating how she was losing teeth due to ignoring her dental needs. We see this often, especially with the high dental fear group requiring dental sedation. Today, I am posting another video from Dr. Oz and Dr. Roisen, frequent guests on Oprah Widfrey and authors of the book Real Age. This video shows the importance of proper oral hygiene, bushing, and flossing. They also discuss the dangers of now taking good dental care, along with dental implants, tooth loss, and dentures.

One of the causes of tooth loss and having bad breath is the cavity build-up in our teeth. That's why it is important to practice right oral hygiene. Sometimes, brushing is not enough to clean our teeth, because there are some debris within the teeth which are very hard to reach. With that, some dentists advised us to floss everytime we finished eating. It is also important to visit your trusted dentist so you can monitor your dental health.

Even if you wear full dentures, you still must take good care of your mouth. Brush your gums, tongue and palate every morning with a soft-bristled brush..

Sometimes people are too relaxed to follow simple guidelines, even with dentists encouraging their patients to frequently attend to their dental needs. That was great idea to use a popular person like Whoopi Goldberg to promote proper dental hygiene. :) Maybe with a media personality, people would be made more aware of the problem.

Brushing your teeth PROPERLY may be the easiest thing you can do for yourself. It helps you avoid frequent trips to the dentist!
