Honestly, I'd prefer dental sedation over being awake during a dental procedure. But before you opt for dental sedation, it would be better if your respective dentists educate you on the kinds of sedation methods they use. Sedating a patient via nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, is often done to help children relax if they are anxious about a certain procedure like tooth extraction.
